I first saw Roger&Sons when we were headed to Foreign Policy’s office for a meeting. On the ground floor of their building, there was a pretty large space with glass doors that showed a whole lot of light wood inside. There was a small structure on display that was home to a broken branch and dried flowers hanging from the top. With soft sunlight, this was the kind of scene that set your senses at ease.
I was glad to find out one day that we were going to visit this very space.
Roger&Sons is a group of makers and mavericks who craft fine furniture and thoughtful objects. Helmed by Roger’s very talented sons, 1st Son, 2nd Son, and 3rd Son, who took over the carpentry business in 2014 when their dad passed. (Yes, Morgan, Lincoln, and Ryan Yeo actually have that on their name cards.)
Today, this close-knit team of both young and established woodworkers pushes the boundaries of design to craft bespoke, well-considered pieces for brands, businesses, and homes.
